TL;DR — SQL Account is a long-established Malaysian accounting product, now sold both as desktop software and as SQL Cloud, with LHDN e-invoicing included in the SQL Cloud Essential (RM79/month) and Pro (RM109/month) plans. IntBooks is a cloud accounting and ERP product in closed beta that puts accounting, e-invoicing, SST-02 preparation, payroll, inventory and POS in one system. If you want a proven product your accountant already knows, SQL is the safer choice. If you want everything in one cloud system and are comfortable with a beta, IntBooks is worth a look.

What is SQL Account?
SQL Account is Malaysian accounting software from E Stream MSC Sdn Bhd. It is widely known among Malaysian accountants and bookkeepers. The product family includes the SQL Account desktop software, SQL Cloud, SQL X-Mobile (a browser-based companion), SQL Payroll and SQL POS.
What is IntBooks?
IntBooks is a cloud accounting and ERP product built in Malaysia for Malaysian SMEs. It combines accounting, e-invoicing through the MyInvois API, SST-02 preparation, a payroll module, inventory and POS in one system. It is in closed beta, and its prices will be announced at launch.

Deployment
SQL Account is available as desktop software and as SQL Cloud. SQL X-Mobile is a browser-based app that syncs with SQL Account and works with both the cloud and desktop versions (SQL X-Mobile).
IntBooks is cloud-only: you use it in a web browser on a computer or phone. There is no desktop or offline version.
If you need to work offline or keep data on your own server, SQL’s desktop version does that and IntBooks doesn’t.
LHDN e-invoicing
Is e-invoicing included in SQL Account? In SQL Cloud, yes: both Essential (RM79/month) and Pro (RM109/month) list “LHDN E-Invoice & SST Compliance” (SQL pricing). For the desktop version, SQL sells an e-invoice module as a one-time payment with no renewal fee (SQL e-Invoice); the price isn’t published on that page.
IntBooks submits e-invoices to LHDN directly through the MyInvois API, and also produces monthly consolidated e-invoices.
SST-02
SQL’s documentation describes processing the SST return and the SST-02 form (SQL docs). IntBooks prepares your SST-02 figures from the ledger; you file the return on MySST.
Payroll and POS
SQL sells SQL Payroll and SQL POS as separate products. SQL Payroll’s cloud plans are listed at RM69/month (up to 20 staff) and RM79/month (up to 50 staff) per company (SQL pricing).
IntBooks includes payroll and POS modules in the same system as the accounts. During the beta, a few newer payroll rules (EPF from age 60, EPF for non-citizens, LINDUNG 24 Jam) still need manual adjustment.

When should I pick SQL Account?
SQL Account is the better choice if:
- You need a proven, generally available product today, rather than a beta
- You already use SQL Account and have customisations or integrations that would be costly to move
- You need a desktop or offline setup, or want data on your own server
- Your accountant or bookkeeper works in SQL and prefers it
- You want e-invoicing included in a low-cost cloud plan right now
When should I pick IntBooks?
IntBooks may suit you better if:
- You want accounting, payroll, inventory and POS in one cloud system, rather than separate products
- You have a distributed team that works from a browser
- You want AI receipt extraction built in
- You’re comfortable joining a closed beta and giving feedback
Migration from SQL Account to IntBooks
IntBooks doesn’t have a dedicated SQL Account importer. Migration uses the generic CSV import:
- Export from SQL Account your customers, suppliers, products, chart of accounts and a trial balance at the cut-over date.
- Import into IntBooks using the data import guide, mapping the columns as you go.
- Check opening balances for the cut-over date against SQL Account’s trial balance.
- Run both systems in parallel for a month to confirm your reports match.
- Cut over and keep SQL Account available for historical lookups.
